About TractoMate
TractoMate is an independent guide to rotavators, two-wheel tractors and garden tillers. We don't sell machines, hold stock, or take a cut of any sale.
What we're for
Choosing a rotavator is harder than it should be. The listings are thin, the spec sheets assume you already know the jargon, and the "best of" pages are often just whatever the writer could earn a commission on. We started TractoMate to do the opposite: explain how these machines actually differ, in plain English, so you can match one to your soil, your plot and your budget.
How we work
- Independent. We have no inventory and no brand allegiance. If the right answer is a cheap cultivator, we'll say so.
- In depth. We care about the things that decide whether you'll enjoy using a machine — weight, starting, vibration, manoeuvrability, parts and maintenance — not just headline power figures.
- Honest about uncertainty. Every specification and price on the site is an estimate pending verification, and we say so plainly rather than presenting guesses as fact.
How we're funded
TractoMate earns from display advertising and from connecting readers with dealers and importers. None of that changes our recommendations. See the advertising & disclosure page for the detail.
