About TractoMate
TractoMate is an independent guide to rotavators, two-wheel tractors and garden tillers. We don't sell machines or hold stock. Some retailer links are affiliate links, always marked as such: they may earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you, and they never decide what we recommend.
What we're for
Choosing a rotavator is harder than it should be. The listings are thin, the spec sheets assume you already know the jargon, and the "best of" pages are often just whatever the writer could earn a commission on. We started TractoMate to do the opposite: explain how these machines actually differ, in plain English, so you can match one to your soil, your plot and your budget.
How we work
- Independent. We have no inventory and no brand allegiance. If the right answer is a cheap cultivator, we'll say so.
- In depth. We care about the things that decide whether you'll enjoy using a machine — weight, starting, vibration, manoeuvrability, parts and maintenance — not just headline power figures.
- Honest about uncertainty. Specifications are checked against the maker's own data or a dealer listing, and the source is recorded. Where we couldn't confirm a figure (about one machine in five, mostly older or grey-import models), the page says "pending verification" rather than presenting a guess as fact. Prices are indicative ranges from current listings.
How we're funded
