Labinprogres: motokultivatori from Labin since 1974

Labinprogres-TPS was founded in Labin in 1974 to produce agricultural machinery. Its first walking tractor began as a prototype in 1975, followed by the serial Super Special in 1977 and the Mondial in 1979. Since 2013 the majority owner has been Entrada, an Istrian company from Šušnjevica.

The company says it has sold more than 300,000 machines. Production runs across two facilities, in Labin in Croatia and in Novi Kneževac in Serbia, and Labinprogres describes its walking tractors as manufactured in the EU. The current models are the Green, the Greeny and the Greeny Mini. The Greeny has a direction reverser and is available with petrol or diesel engines.

For a buyer, a range that is still in production and built in the region means parts and attachments should be easier to find locally than for a discontinued Yugoslav-era machine. On the Greeny, choose between petrol and diesel according to how many hours a year you expect to run it, and if the place of assembly matters to you, ask the seller where the machine you are buying was built.
