Who makes the Muta Maestral

The tradition of Muta agricultural machinery goes back to 1973. In the 1970s, under the brand name Gorenje Muta, the company developed the Combi REX professional mower, and it went on to build a machine family made up of the Maestral, Profi, Mini and Kombi.

The Maestral walking tractor is made in Muta, in Carinthia, Slovenia. It has a gearbox with four forward and three reverse gears and a differential lock, and it uses 4-stroke petrol or diesel engines of 5 to 7.3 kW from Honda, Yamaha, MAG or Kohler. The maker says it can be connected to 23 different solutions.

For a buyer, the hitch is the detail to watch. Muta states that older Gorenje Muta machines have an 80 mm hitch diameter and are not compatible with new attachments, so if you are buying a used machine, or planning to add new tools to an old one, check the hitch first.
