Tier B — Petrol garden tiller Denmark Est. 1960

Texas A/S

A Danish garden-machinery brand with a broad tiller range (Lilli, TX, Pro): value-to-mid pricing and a strong presence across Northern Europe.

Texas of Odense and its cultivator roots

Texas was founded in 1960 and has produced garden machines since then. Its original production was cultivators, a new product in the 1960s, and its Danish site dates the first Danish-produced garden tiller to 1 January 1966. Texas says that in the 1970s it became one of Europe's leading cultivator makers and built machines for several well-known companies.

Its headquarters and central warehouse are in Odense, Denmark. The current range includes the Lilli 534TG tiller with reverse gear; we list the Lilli 534B and the Lilli 535TG.

For a buyer, the Lilli models are the place to start, and the letters after the number are worth reading closely, since one Lilli is sold with a reverse gear. A reverse is useful if you work in tight beds or along fences, less so on open ground. Ask the seller where warranty and spare parts are handled, and keep the model number with the receipt. On a used Texas, check the tines and the drive and ask whether the manual is included.
