Tier A — Pro two-wheel tractor USA Est. 2012

Tilmor

Maker of the Power Ox two-wheel tractor: a value-focused professional alternative with a growing attachment range.

Tilmor and the Power Ox, built in Ohio for small farms

Tilmor was initiated in 2012 to address the needs of smaller vegetable and specialty crop farms. Its products are created by its team in Dalton, Ohio, and it launched its first cultivation tools in 2018.

For cultivation, Tilmor offers the Power Ox 240 two-wheel tractor, which we list as the Power Ox. Tilmor says the Power Ox reduces engine speed with a simple pulley system and has no gearbox. Alongside it, Tilmor produces implements for planting, cultivation and harvest, and says they are fully supported by Tilmor.

For a buyer, the drive design is the first thing to understand: a pulley reduction with no gearbox is a different layout from a geared two-wheel tractor, so compare the two on the work you actually plan to do rather than on engine size alone. Then look at the implements: list the ones you need for planting, cultivating and harvesting your crops, and check that they and their spare parts can reach you if you farm far from Ohio. On a used Power Ox, ask which implements come with it and check the belts and pulleys for wear.
